Artistic Nails and Hair has been operating in the Parklane Shopping Center for the past seven years, and has recently expanded to cut, perm and color hair in addition to nails and eaxing. They have four licensed manicurists at the salon, which makes conversation quite lively. They all have a great time meeting new customers!

Susan Mai, owner of Artistic Nails & Hair, came to Wichita from Laos in 1976. Two years later, she mat and married husband David. Now married for 23 years, they are the proud parents of two children - Michelle, 21, and Dennis, 13. Michelle is studying advertising/marketing at Wichita State and Dennis is in the 7th grade at St. Thomas Aquinas. David has been a mechanic at Boeing for the last 17 years.

Susan spends her spare time cooking authentic Vietnamese food and "doing hair." In her spare time, she likes to have her family over for cookouts and loves to create flower arrangements. She dreams of going back to Laos to visit her family as often as possible.
